Made for longtime friend and studio mate Mario Ayala in conjunction with the opening of Mario's and Alfonso Gonzales Jr.'s show at the Long Beach Museum of Art. Mario is well known for his meticulously crafted, surreal, bizarre and imaginative paintings referencing everything from CD album art, LA City parking tickets, conchas, car stereo systems, Mexican muralists and his infamous exquisite corpse tryptichs--to which this shirt is an hommage.
